The next WISERD Conference will take place in Swansea 13-14 July and we will be be sponsoring two competitions.

We are co-sponsoring the student poster competition:

Together with The Learned Society for Wales, we are sponsoring a student poster competition. As in previous years, currently-registered PhD students attending the conference will be invited to submit a poster. These posters will be displayed throughout the event so that all conference delegates will have a chance to view them, and they will be made available via the WISERD and Wales DTC websites following the conference; with the permission of the author.

We are sponsoring The Three Minute Thesis Challenge at the WISERD 2016 Conference. This celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students and is designed for doctoral candidates to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research topic and its significance in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience and using only one projected slide. The exercise cultivates your academic, presentation, and research communication skills and supports your capacity to effectively explain your research.
