British Library Placement Opportunities Deadline

Deadline: Monday 19 February 2018

The British Library has launched a new placement scheme to provide opportunities for PhD students from all disciplines to develop career skills and experience that complement their research activities and academic training.

A range of 16 different placement projects have been designed by Library staff for the current call, several of which will particularly appeal to social science researchers.

Your application must be supported by your PhD supervisor and your school department’s Graduate Tutor (or equivalent). The minimum duration of the placements is 3 months (or part time equivalent).

The Library is not able to provide payment to placement students. If you are a Wales DTP funded student and you wish to apply for a placement opportunity, please contact us to discuss the possibility of funding support.

You can find full details, application guidance and the application form on the British Library website.
