Cabinet Office Internship deadline

Deadline: Monday 31 July 2017

The ESRC Wales Doctoral Training Partnership is pleased to offer this opportunity to complete a three-month internship in the Cabinet Office in London. The internship will sit in a new team, the function of which is to speed up innovation across Whitehall by deepening collaboration with academics and other outside experts.

The team covers a wide range of priority policy areas – including industrial strategy, mental health, childcare, digital transformation and various other issues.  Working in the team is likely to provide a great experience in which students learn what it is like to develop policy in the heart of government.

The specific remit of this internship will be negotiated between the successful applicant and the project sponsor, Chris Webber, Cabinet Office Open Innovation Team.

The actual timing of the internship is flexible, though it is expected to begin at some point in the period September to December 2017.  The Wales DTP will provide a three-month fully funded extension to the successful applicant’s studentship award and will reimburse reasonable costs in respect of accommodation and travel, up to a maximum of £3,000.

Those interested should first discuss this opportunity and its timing with their supervisor, whose approval will be necessary.

Please submit your completed application form (Word, 164KB) to enquiries@walesdtp.ac.uk by 4pm on the day of the deadline.
