Department for Work and Pensions internship deadline

Deadline: Monday 28 May 2018

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy.  The DWP is offering 3-month secondment opportunities for doctoral students to work on 3 high-priority social policy analysis projects:

These secondments will also offer the opportunity for a student to gain direct experience of working at the policy-evidence interface, in the heart of a high-profile analysis team. Secondees will benefit from a programme of shadowing, mentoring and professional development; gaining an insight into the civil service and government analytical professions.

Applicants should submit a CV, application form and funding permissions form by midday on the day of the deadline to evidence.strategyteam@dwp.gsi.gov.uk. This is also the address to which enquiries should be directed.

An internship must start at least 3 months prior to the funding end date of your PhD, and cannot start in the first 3 months of your PhD. Your application must have the support of your primary supervisor, and you will need us to confirm DTP provision of a 3 month funded extension, so please email your completed application to us at enquiries@walesdtp.ac.uk no later than 23 May 2018.
