Policy Internships Deadline

Deadline: Monday 13 August 2018

The Policy Internships scheme provides current students funded by the research councils of UK Research and Innovation with the opportunity to spend up to three months in a non-academic organisation where they can work as part of a team involved with policy or practice development. Internships are awarded to 22 highly influential policy organisations: Parliamentary Departments, Government Departments and Non-Governmental Bodies, Learned societies and other organisations.

if successful, you will gain an extension to your ESRC award and most of the hosting organisations will provide support for travel and accommodation of up to £2,400 for the duration of the internship – where they do not, the Wales DTP will use its budgetary flexibility to support reasonable and evidenced expense of this kind, provided they are agreed in advance.

Full details of the internships available, and the application process, can be found on the UKRI website. As part of the application process, you should contact the Wales DTP no later than 31 July to discuss your application.
