Undertaking research into transphobic hate speech, this research concentrates on Twitter API and secondary analysis of existing data, to create an index of harms to transgender people. I am working in partnership with Galop (the LGBT+ anti violence charity, http://galop.org.uk/) and learning a great deal from the work of the HateLab (https://hatelab.net/) at Cardiff University.

I am working on a methodology chapter, presenting and networking with other PGRs. This current focus is based on the work of Ruth Pearce (2020) in an article called A Methodology for the Marginalised: Surviving Oppression and Traumatic Fieldwork in the Neoliberal Academy. In my role as Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion rep in SOCSI at Cardiff I am connecting with other PGRs to work towards the creation of an informal yet sustaining support network.
