The implications of the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry

The British Sociological Association Medical Sociology (Wales) will be hosting an informal seminar on Thursday 25th April, 12.30-2.00pm at Cardiff University on ‘The implications of the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry’ and everyone is welcome to attend.

Professor Davina Allen, of Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies and Professor David Hughes, of the Department of Public Health & Policy Studies at Swansea University will discuss the main recommendations from the report and what the existing sociological literature (particularly from the journal Sociology of Health and Illness) tells us about care practices and regulation/governance.
