10:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday 2 December 2013

Place: The British Library, London.

The British Library’s Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library. Attendees at this event will learn about the Social Sciences collections, find out how to access them, meet expert staff and have the opportunity to network with other researchers.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. To make the most of the day, students may wish to get a free Reader Pass before the event.  A small number of £20 travel bursaries are available for students coming from outside Greater London.

Cost £5, book online.

There is another chance to attend an open day on Friday 13 December.

The British Library also has a section on its website for Social Science researchers and a social sciences blog.
