Spotlight on Social Science

The annual student-led Spotlight on Social Science conference for 2014 is approaching, and the call for abstracts has gone out:

Researchers across all the social sciences both within Cardiff University, the Wales DTC and other neighbouring institutions are invited to present their research in an open, friendly and informal environment. The Spotlight on Social Sciences Conference 2014 is a student-led, interdisciplinary conference which provides an opportunity for postgraduate students to showcase current research and is free for all postgraduate students to attend.

Abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations are invited from postgraduate researchers from all social science disciplines. Further details in this flyer (PDF).

Place: Hadyn Ellis Building, Cardiff University, Caerdydd/Cardiff.

This conference is aimed at researchers across all the social sciences both within Cardiff University and and at Wales DTC and other neighbouring institutions. The conference is free for all postgraduate students to attend.

The aim is for researchers to communicate the essence of their research via short presentations to other non-specialists. There will be approximately 15 talks throughout the day, with poster presentations on display during the lunch break (lunch will be provided). Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day for the best talk and best poster, with a drinks reception to end the event.
