The socio-legal masterclass is open to all students working in the field of socio-legal studies in the second year or later (or part time equivalent) of their PhD. This event is free for ESRC funded students apart from travel. Fifteen bursaries for everything but travel are also being made available with the kind support of the Journal of Law and Society and the Socio-Legal Studies Association.
If you are not ESRC funded and would like to apply for a bursary, please fill out this form by 5pm on 22 May 2017. If you are ESRC funded, there is no need to apply for a bursary. All costs except travel will be paid for by a consortium of the Wales, LSE and Queen Mary ESRC Doctoral Training Centres.
What is covered by the bursary
Student bursaries cover the costs of accommodation at Gregynog Hall on Monday 19 June and 20 June 2017. They also include the costs of lunch and dinner on day one; breakfast, lunch and dinner on day two; and breakfast and lunch on day three of the conference as well as all teas and coffees during the breaks. Students are asked to fund their own travel costs.
Your application will be considered by the organising committee and you will be informed of whether your application has been successful by 1 May.
Please note only those awarded bursaries or funded by the ESRC will be eligible to attend. Non-ESRC student places will be provisional until the award of a bursary has been confirmed.
