British Library Social Science Doctoral Open Days

The British Library runs a series of Doctoral Open Days aimed at first year PhD students who are new to the Library. These have a discipline focus, and there are two Social Science open days on 2 and 13 December.

The British Library’s Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the¬†British Library‚Äôs unique research materials.¬†The¬†events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library.¬†Attendees at this event will learn about the¬†Social Sciences collections, find out how to access them, meet expert¬†staff and have the opportunity to network with other researchers.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. To make the most of the day, students may wish to get a free Reader Pass before the event.  A small number of £20 travel bursaries are available for students coming from outside Greater London.

There is another chance to attend an open day on Friday 13 December.
