The Wales DTP is pleased to offer a 3-month internship opportunity with the Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST).  The internship will be embedded within Theme 1 (visioning), which explores preferred visions of low-carbon societies, and/or Theme 3 (trialling), which aims to co-design and deliver interventions to achieve emission reductions and wider sustainability benefits in collaboration with partner organisations such as Welsh Government, Cardiff Council and Anglian Water.  A full project description is provided in this document and the Cast website.

The internship is open to any ESRC Wales DTP funded student (except those within 3 months of the start or end of their studentship).  It is anticipated that the successful applicant will work in a hybrid pattern with some remote working and some office time, however this is flexible to suit the student’s need.  The Cardiff CAST team is based at the new flagship SPARK building in Cardiff.  The internship will commence in autumn 2022 for a period of 3 months (full-time or the part-time equivalent).  The successful applicant will continue to receive their stipend during their internship, and will get an extension to their PhD equivalent to the duration of their internship.
